Great Fins
As a disclaimer I don't have a whole lot of experience with different fins but I have compared this fin with a longer set if fins (non split) and I have to tell you these were very easy to maneuver with and propel than the long fins. The longer fins made it much hard to propel myself through the water whereas the Mantaray fins allowed me to kick more freely. I didn't not try a real speed test but I think I'm much more relaxed and not as tired using the Mantaray fins.
I liked that they were extremely simple in construction and design and very easy to put on. I have a scuba boot size 7 and the M-L size fit over my boot just perfectly. You can pick them up at Dive N Surf in Redondo for much cheaper than here. I picked up my set for $70+tax.
UPDATE 7/4/2009: Now that I've had several dives with these fins I would say that they are actually quite slow. Yes they allow me to maneuver my legs around quicker but the most important aspect is propulsion which these don't do as well than longer fins. I have trouble keeping up with the group and use up more oxygen due to having to kick more.More detail ...
